Image upload by URL throws "too large" error, but it's not too large

Hi all,

My client has run into an issue trying to add their images with the "Import by URL" method-- it throws an "Image size is too large" error.

However, not only is the image not remotely large by any stretch of the imagination, I've tested out images of similar dimensions and much larger file sizes with no issues.

I can't find any documentation regarding this other than maybe a Shopify Guru answer in this forum saying read/write permissions need to be set on the source server.

Could this be the issue? Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi There!

Would you mind sharing the URL you've been trying to import from or is it private?

That's pretty odd indeed, if you right click "Save As" and upload normally it works right?

Yeah that's correct, the upload method works fine. It's quite strange
