Inventory update not reflected at pos

Any suggestions gratefully received.  I update inventory stock levels but it is not always updated in the shop at pos.  People are managing to buy products which the inventory is marking as sold out.  Help please!

Do you mean you can still purchase through POS even though you marked the product as 0 inventory in admin? If so note the following:

If you're using Shopify POS, you can continue selling products when inventory reaches zero and below.
