Link Shopify Account to Forum

Every time I try to log into the forum, I am told that I;m logged in to my store, but I haven;t linked that store to the forum.  The onyl fix to this is to reset my passwrd every time I want to log in, and It's a real pain.  How am I supposed to stop this happening?  It only began a couple of months ago.

Hello, Piers, Eddy and Ray, 

Nick here from Shopify. 

Completely understand your frustration with this. The reason for this seems to be that the store creates the profile for the forum account and doesn't create a password per say. There is a way around this though by taking the following steps:

1. Go to https://ecommerce.shopify.com/accounts?return_to=%2Faccounts

2. On left, click I don’t know my password and request a new password

3. Open the password reset email and set a new password

4. Go back to https://ecommerce.shopify.com/accounts?return_to=%2Faccounts, and login using email, and newly set password using the Email Address and Password fields found on the left of the page

If that doesn't work, please let me know, and I can take a look at why this could be happening for you.
