We have 2 brick and mortars that are integrated through an app called Retail Express (which we use for our inventory management and POS.)
Because our inventory is run through an app our stock does not show as being available for local pick up from Shopify.
So I am looking for an app that can offer local pick up an local delivery without letting the customer select their timeslot.
To get around this before I set up a shipping rate called click and collect, the problem was I couldn't limit the area close enough to our stores and because Shopify always pre selects the cheapest freight option, we had too many customers ordering click and collect from locations all over, we would then have to send them an email asking for postage to be added and were losing sales.
We need an app that will let us notify the customer when an order is ready to collect instead of the customer telling us when to have it ready.
Can anyone help?
Intuitive Shipping lets you set up multiple types of shipping methods, including local pickup and local delivery. For the local pickup option, you can add a custom description. Something like, "We will contact you when your order is ready to be picked up."
If you'd like to learn more about Intuitive Shipping and how to set this up, please feel free to book a demo with one of our team members who would be happy to guide you through the process and answer any questions you might have. You might also find this guide from our help center useful as well.
You can also use Intuitive Shipping to manage other shipping methods as well, if you're also shipping regionally, nationally or internationally through regular carriers.
If all of your inventory is run through an app, there shouldn't be any issue using Intuitive Shipping. If you have some inventory run through the app and some in Shopify, there may be situations where rates don't calculate properly. All inventory needs to be managed by the same inventory location when using Intuitive Shipping.
