Locations / Inventory

Hello,

I have actually set 2 locations for my shop : stock#1 and stock#2

Each is set with "Fulfill online orders from this location"

For a product A, there is actually this inventory :

stock#1 : 1 (item)
stock#2 : 1 (item)

When I order 2 items, the product page show :

stock#1 : -1
stock#2 : 1

Well, I was expected this :

stock#1 : 0
stock#2 : 0

Can anyone explain this to me ?

Thank you very much.

Yannick

Hey, @okbertrand

It sounds like you may have 'allow overselling' enabled for the product which allowed it to go into a negative inventory count. You can c Also, if you only have enabled one location to fulfill online orders, then the second location will not be deducted inventory when an order is placed. If you want that second location to be used for fulfilling orders online, you will need to enable that from within your location settings (Admin > Settings > Locations). From there, you can set your location priority to determine which location will be prioritized to fulfill an order.

We actually have a great example order reference guide here that I think will help put this into perspective for you.

If there is anything else I can help you with, please let me know.

Dear Dirk,

Thank you for your help.

Well, no, I didn't allowed overselling for the products. And both locations are enabled to fullfill orders.
That's why it seems very strange.

See on the screenshot what happened after a test order (previously 0 for #stock1 / 1 fot #stock2)

Did I miss something ?

Thanks again

Yannick
