My store is in Canada, but I want to display prices in USD. How?

Hey all.

My store is in CAD, the prices and bank account are CAD, but for customers that are browsing from the US I want to display prices in USD. I'm pretty sure that many clients have no idea what is the CAD-USD conversion rate, and displaying prices in CAD will confuse people.

Any idea how to do this?

Hey there Shachar!

Genevieve from Shopify here :)

We have a guide here on how to display multiple currencies on your store:

If you'd like your store to automatically display the correct currency for the country your customer is browsing from, you might want to instead use an app like Auto Currency Switcher:

Just so you know, while you can display prices in more than one currency, you do have to pick just one for checkout purposes. If you want your customers to be able to make purchases in more than one currency, you'll need to open another store:

Hope that helps!

Hi Shachar,

I've just released an app that automatically converts all prices based on the visitor's location. That is, a US customer would see all prices in USD (except for the checkout), a German customer would see all prices in EUR, etc.

The app also allows you to display country specific notifications or redirect customers to a specific page (again based on the visitor's location).

I'm currently looking for beta testers (the app is completely free during the beta period).

You can read more about it and install it here:
