I have an online store and I would like to be able to set up my consultants with their own pages on the store with a little detail about themselves (which I know how to do) BUT I want it so that if their personal client goes to my website through their page then the consultant will get commission based on the sales of that client. As well, for the clients to be able to put in a Consultant name or ID # at the checkout stage to assign the commission rate to that consultant. Any ideas on how to make this happening?
Other stores doing this for example are Stella & Dot (http://www.stelladot.com/search/stylist) they also have a "Find Your Hostest" which might be a nice addition as well since I do home parties too. (http://www.stelladot.com/search/hostess)
And Mary Kay does this sort of thing as well (http://www.marykay.com/en-US/_layouts/MaryKayCoreLocator/Locate.aspx)
Liam here from Shopify - thank you for your question :)
Having an online store with different pages for your consultants as well as tracking customers conversion is a great idea for starting a busy virtual marketplace! Setting up the type of Affiliate Partner program which you have described is not natively supported by Shopify, so we will need to use an app to create this effect. Two apps which can allow you to easily design and administrate referral systems are Refersion and LeadDyno. Both apps will allow you to add your consultants to a database and track which customers are checking out from referrals originating from which specific consultant.
Your consultants are also provided with their own dashboards, just like you. There they can access their unique link, update details, run reports and grab creatives to assist with marketing efforts. You can even easily manage the payments to your consultants through the apps, using PayPal. I would recommend you take a look at both apps to see which one would work best for your business.
Hope this helps Tammy, if you have any other questions, just let me know!
You didn't read what was written. Her associates will be offering products and need their own website replication for their customers to land on and buy things from. What those two apps do is just create a referall code. That doesn't help with showing off their products with their branding even tho its the same stuff she sells on her own site.
