Paying subscription but not using services

Hi there, 

Currently I am in process to finalise my Ecommerce. 

I am paying $29 per month for my subscription.  Is this imperative while the website is not live or in use?

I am not sure when the website will go live as currently I am experiencing delays on the production of the collection due to covid. 

As a small creative I can not afford these outgoings. I believe that I should enjoy of all services while paying for this subscription.

Please let me know if there is a way for the payments to stop until I the online shop goes live.

You can develop your shop theme without pay anything... sure, is limited you cannot test checkout for example, but is very usefull...

Yes, this option is to use from scratch, but you alway have the option to dowload your theme, so you do not need to code all your project again.

The website that is already in process, IF i'm not mistake, you can pause for a while (due covid), you need to go to payments methods. If doesn't have the option, then i think you shoud to open a shopify ticket to check if have another way.

I have checked here, and yes, you still can pause due covid.

You need to access this: https://YOUR_SHOPIFY_STORE_URL.myshopify.com/admin/settings/account

Then scroll down, and select the option "pause".

Sure!

Actually, is very easy!

You just need to follow these steps:

1 - Open the dashboard
2 - Click on "Virtual Store"
3 - Click on Themes
4 - Click on "Actions"
5 - Download theme files

Then will start a zip download =D
