Per-product shipping rate or exception?

Add me as well, it is completely essential for our store to have this feature. Yes shopify has not given us any reason to get our hopes up that they will actually fix this grievous error.

Hi everyone,

There is a work around. It took me a bit but it's pretty easy to do.

1. Set all your products to 1lb.
   1. If you're drop-shipping, it really doesn't matter on your website what the pound because you're not in charge of the shipping, the supplier is.
2. In Settings > Shipping and Delivery > This can work both in General and Custom Profiles at the same time.

Example (this is how I have mine set up):

• Tier 1 1lb - 1.99lb $5.00
• Tier 2 2lb-2.99lb $10.00
• Tier 3 3lb-3.99lb $15.00
• Tier 4 4lb-10lb $20.00
• Free Shipping $100.00 or more.

By setting all the products to one 1lb, it will add them up in the checkout to tell you which Tier you they came out to.

Example:

• Customer purchases 3 orders. It's $5.00 per product/pound.
• 3 x $5.00 = $15.00
• 1lb x 3 products = 3lbs
• Tier 3 is 3lbs to 3.99lbs at $15.00.

The topic is "Per-product shipping rate or exception" and being from 2013 there have been several features released that address such issues such as Shipping Profiles.
