By the looks of things you will want to sort out a few other areas first also like;

  1. You have dummy text still on a few pages which would confuse any visitors
  2. Your images look blurry as F. Defo want to sort that out
  3. Although you may have been over the moon with your 5er video for your slider to me it makes me feel like I have landed on a recruitment agency's page or some kind of law firm. Whatever it looks like I wouldnt expect to buy products from here (nor would i trust it)
  4. As for the product decriptions I think to get things as good as possible you shouldtype them up yourself as you have a range of completely different products, I am fortunate enough to be able to cheat a little and use a similar format over all of mine on site.
  5. I think if you are serious about selling online you should put the time and effort into a decent site because honestly and i dont mean to offend but yours is pretty awful and seems sketchy from the moment you land. I would not trust putting my card details in there for a minuet.

If you want to make money from It then you really need to take your site more seriously. Weather that means throwing money at it or putting in that leg work :)

Fuck a description. people will just buy regaurdless . !! ;) Trust me

This is really about SEO. Google may penalise you if you just repeat all the product stats over and over again on a single page, but if you change the way that content is formatted, your page may rank higher for those keywords.

However, a human-written product description is still best in my opinion.

Hi Alan,

Wordsmith from Automated Insights would suit your needs very well. It allows you to automatically generate site-ready product descriptions from product data. Pricing is based on volume, and product descriptions generaly start at $0.20. Edmunds.com uses it to generate copy for their car descriptions. Here are a bunch of examples (select any car from the list on this page).

You can learn more about Wordsmith at https://automatedinsights.com/solutions/#e-commerce. And you can get a demo here as well.

Full disclosure: I work for Automated Insights, the company that makes Wordsmith.

All the best!

Hey Alan,

Thanks for your post. Much like what the others said, nothing beats a genuine human-written product description. A while back we posted a blog on writing product descriptions - check it out, there are some great points in there:

Hope this helps!

Hey Alan,

Wordsmith from Automated Insights let's you automatically generate any number of unique product descriptions from a data file and a single description structure. A lot of ecommerce companies are using it. As an example, Edmunds.com is using it to generate descriptions for their cars. Choose any of these to see -- http://www.edmunds.com/inventory/srp.html?make=Honda&sub=Accord+Sedan

Pricing is based on volume, and product descriptions start at way under a dollar each and then go down from there. You can get a demo at https://automatedinsights.com/request-demo/. And you can learn more at https://automatedinsights.com/solutions/#e-commerce.

Full disclosure: I work at Automated Insights. Hope this helps!

For a company like us it is really difficult to manage content writing of products that is pretty unique.. So what is the point if anyways the description is not going to be unique.. Is there any other drawbak of using software generated content?

There is no such thing and having a poor decsription will make you rank worse in google, or worse, you won't rank at all.

The closest thing you can get is hiring someone on a freelancing website to write unique descriptions for your products.
