Publishing Site

I am in the process of purchasing the monthly subscription for my site; however, I want to make sure that my unfinished site will not be made public until I am ready to publish it, because I am still working on photos for my products and product descriptions. Can I control when my site is made open to the public?

Hello. You can enable password so only you can view your site and you can write a message eg work in progress please come back soon. Go to online store and then preferences and it's at the bottom.

This is an accepted solution.

Hey, @khozie

I'd just like to confirm that changing your billing cycle does not alter the state of which your store is published. As long as you keep the password page enabled ( found in admin > online store > preferences) your store will remain hidden to the public.

I also recommend going through Shopify's Essential Store Launch Checklist guide to ensure that you have the key aspects of your business set up before opening. With that said, I'd be happy to answer any questions that you may have.
