Inability to enter the site

Hello there!

I'm from Iran and I was hoping I could open my store on Shopify, but I can't choose Iran as my location!

Why is that?

Are there any sanctions in place? And if so, since I wanna sell digital downloads and there won't be any shipping happening, is there a way for me to avoid them?

Shopify is working to expand its international offerings, which includes expanding our services to new locations across the world. Unfortunately, Iran is an unsupported region at this time and we are not able to offer our services to merchants in Iran (as much as we would like to be able to).
