I am looking to redirect 3 of my collections to pages. As follows:
1) If a customer clicks on the "clothing collection" (https://millsandme.com/collections/clothing ) then I want them to be redirected to the page "clothing" (https://millsandme.com/pages/clothing ).
If a customer clicks on the "home collection" (https://millsandme.com/collections/home ) then I want them to be redirected to the page "home" (https://millsandme.com/pages/home).
If a customer clicks on the "gifts collection" (https://millsandme.com/collections/gifts) then I want them to be redirected to the page "gifts" (https://millsandme.com/pages/gifts).
Can anyone help with this please?

I understand you're looking to redirect your collection links to a particular page. You can create URL redirects, this is located under 'Online Store > Navigations'. From the Navigations, you will see an option to create URL Redirects. You can use the full URL to create your redirects as well as shortened links.
Here's an example from my test store:

Elias, your method is exactly what I tried — using relative path URL Redirects — only it doesn't work?
Does it matter that my site is still in development mode?
I've tried with both the short URL (above) as well as the full https://... URL. Neither works?

I wasn't able to take a look at the links you've shared, as your store is password protected; however, the redirection is set up properly based on your screenshots. I can confirm the issue isn't due to your site being in development mode, rather it's because the collection is still available in your Online Store. You can resolve this by changing the availability of your collection and removing it from the Online store. By removing this collection from your Online store, the redirection will work and it won't affect the availability of your products in that collection.
