I opened up my bank account only to be shocked by a payment from Shopify for the monthly 29$ subscription. I completely forgot that i had a trial store with a selected plan that i did not close. I did not want to continue with the store i forgot to close it. How do i get a refund as i want to close the store and did not have the money to pay for this.
Hey there, @Marginean
Bo here from Shopify Support!
I am sorry to hear that you opened your bank statement to find that surprise. When it comes to refunds it is always best to reach out to our support team directly as these forums are not always monitored.
To reach out to our support team please do visit the Help Centre. When on the Help Centre page, you should see Support > Contact Support in the main menu or there's a Contact Shopify Support button near the end of the page. The Help Centre will try and suggest guides first to resolve your query, however, if none of these suit your needs then please keep clicking the Contact Shopify Support button at the end of the page instead.
In some cases, Chrome extensions and cache can interfere with the Help Centre's login/authentication process and you might experience a "loop" when trying to contact our support. If this happens, I'd recommend clearing your cache or to log out of your Help Centre account and access our support as a guest instead as shown in this short video. Our advisors can authenticate the account later if needed or our Facebook and Twitter support would be happy to help instead. You are welcome to contact us here on Twitter or here on Facebook.
I will be reaching out to you directly via email to get this resolved as quickly as possible. I will need you to get back to me via email confirming the myshopify.com address of your store so that I can authenticate you as the owner of the account. In order for me to be able to issue you a refund, I will need for that account to be closed by you. You can close this account by following the steps in this guide.
