Hey, there!
Peter here from Shopify Support!
To permanently remove a tag from your admin, you'll need to ensure that the tag is removed from any product that it's currently applied to. Below are the steps on how to achieve this!
Once you've processed these steps, you'll be greeted by a white container that has a text box where you can enter the tags you wish to remove. Simply insert the tags here, select "Apply Changes" and that should remove the tags from the filter list found on your website!
If this wasn't what you were after, or if you have any other questions then feel free to reply back and I'll happily help out!
All the best,
Peter

Hey Peter,
I'm having this issue where I have two tags "ABC-12345" and "ABC 12345". I want to remove "ABC-12345" and am able to click on the tag to add like the above example, but I cannot select "apply changes" button to remove it, or any other the other tags.
On a side note, when I click "ABC-12345", it shows products under "ABC 12345" on my website. Since these two are the same, I am trying to remove "ABC-12345" but am having difficulty.
Any help to figure this out would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Ken
Hi there @kensugai @John_and_Debbie @Peter
I think I know how to resolve this problem. :)
Go in all products and MARK ALL of them. So when on one page you can only mark 50 but then there is a small text to the right of the 'action' field asking if you want to MARK ALL products.
After marking all products to go into actions and remove the two tags in your case. This is done by scrolling down and clicking on both the tags.
Proceed -> apply changes. Then the store should have compelety forgotten BOTH tags and you can now add the relevant tag to your products again.
Hope this helps
Kind regards
Joachim Leganger
Hey, @LaskoBrands, @Rocking!
If the tag has been entirely removed from the admin, then there is a possibility that it's a system caching issue. For this, I can flush the frontend cache of your store which should resolve the issue. I've sent both of you an email to get this looked into.
