I would like to remove the "myshopify.com" part from the domain name and just have it end with ".com"
I went to the domain section and added the primary domain name. It then told me to login to my domain provider account and then set my CNAME. It also mentiones someting about SSL certificate will be requested once my doamin is complete.
p.s I did look at the sticky notes in the forums regarding the SSL Certificate, but not sure what to do from this point.

It sounds like you're well on your way to getting the domains sorted. I suggest you read through our documentation on setting up your domain to familiarize yourself with what is required to get it to work, but here's a short-and-sweet version:
Hopefully this helps clarify what you need to do! :)
I seem to have a similar issue. It was working for me previously, and I can't find the way to set it up properly again :)
I recently changed my web host from WIX to Siteground and it messed up my link to my shopify store
I have a domain registered with a third party, with a subdomain defined to point to my shopify store. The redirect works correctly from the third party site (on SiteGround) but I still have myshopify in the URL. Could you remind me how to set it so a user sees marketplace.mydomain.com in the URL instead of marketplace.myshopify.com? That would be done on the shopify end wouldn't it?
Our issue is slightly different.
Our website is built on Hubspot CMS (so not on Shopify). It means our CNAME etc is pointed to Hubspot and have not added our custom domain to Shopify.
We use the Buy Now button so Shopify manages the cart and fulfillment etc.
HOWEVER, all of our product URL handles in Shopify contain myshopify.com. It means whenever we use Shopify for social ads etc it directs visitors to the myshopify.com products instead of my actual site.
How can i combat this?
