I had a quick question re. SagePay and Shopify.
Some background first...
- last year I started building my Shopify store
- whilst building it I opened a SagePay account to process transactions
- at the point of launching I discovered SagePay couldn't accept Maestro payments
- so I quickly opened a PayPal Pro account which I have been using since launching my store
Now that I'm unable to process Maestro cards with PayPal Pro, I'm wondering if I might as well switch to SagePay (I'd kept the account open as I'd completed all of the account application processes etc.). I need to compare costs but I hear good things about SagePay.
Since the start of the year I'd simply set Shopify to not accept Maestro payments.
If I do switch to SagePay, I wondered if I would be able to do the same thing?
I'd welcome feedback from any SagePay & Shopify users before I make the switch.
Im setting up a store using SagePay at the moment, having trouble connecting it with shopify. But once that's sorted im onto that tricky subject of 3D secure.
Maestro cards are being replaced with VISA possibly? Thats what happened to mine last month. Not sure what this means for the 3D secure issue.
Will let you know more, when I do.
No to both I am afraid. Test accounts have payment disabled until upgrade. Payment gateways are available here and are added rarely as the development resources to keep all currently supported gateways up to date is tremendous.
I am having trouble to set up Sagepay on my shopify store.
I am currently on test mode and need to install the gateway on my store to be able to test transactions and then activate live mode.
BUT when I add the credentials the only page for the gateway is a coding page ...
I have contacted sagepay who said I need to use Shopify test mode and Shopify said there is no test mode ...
So I am in a catch22
I am sure the solution is pretty easy and I would be super grateful if you could help me!
