To clarify, you will not be charged until your trial has ended. The amount you will be billed will depend on the plan you have chosen, and apps you have installed. You can learn more about billing here.
To determine the date your trial will end, head to Settings > Plan and permissions > Compare plans.

It's possible the email was sent before extending your trial, if you did so at any point in time.
