All things Shopify and commerce
I have many products that I sell by Box that the quantity differs by product, some are in box with 30, 24,36,60,120... So my inventory is handle by unit and I planing to use an APP to connect with quickbooks. I want a solution that will not create a problem with my inventory also. I have tried to found an option that on the quantity box just show the box quantity to be select but could not found anything. Someone has a suggestion?
Welcome to shopify community, this can be achieved by code customization, you may please hire a Shopify expert or email me at lokendra@propero.in to discuss further
Hi @Fernanda4,
Just wanted to ask if you have resolved this business requirement? If not, which version of QuickBooks are you using? Desktop or Online?
Thanks,
Scott
Hi Fernanda4,
I do have an option, but first needed to know which version of QB you are using.
I author an integration product (CartSpan) that allows you to create 'phantom' multi-pack items on your Shopify site that get converted to a standard 'Each' type unit of measure in QuickBooks. For instance, you won't have an Item Name of 'WIDGET-12PK' in QuickBooks, but you will have it defined in Shopify. CartSpan manages a 'look-up' table that lets you specify the conversion factor for inventory and price and import the line with appropriate price/qty as 'WIDGET' into QB. This feature gives you virtually unlimited deal-making options with respect to packaging. Conversely, CartSpan will push the appropriate quantity of the 'phantom' items you can safely offer back to Shopify factoring the quantity available of the basic stocking unit.
CartSpan also has features that support bundling of different items for sale similar to QB's Group Item functionality; which would give you yet another marking tool at your disposal.
Not sure if you've already committed to another integration product, but thought I through the option out there for you in-case you haven't.
Scott
Hi @Fernanda4 ,
You can manage multipacks in your store with the app we developed — Packify. It allows you to create any number of packs with the given multipliers and keeps the inventory in sync between pack products and single-unit products.
That means that your pack products will be visible as regular products in Shopify (tagged "pack"). You can set the discounted price on packs like you would do with regular products. Once a pack is sold, the inventory of the single unit product is decreased accordingly to the multiplier. Packify works just fine with QuickBooks as well as other integrations because it simply creates additional products in Shopify for packs.
You can try the app for free by installing it from the marketplace:

If you have any feedback for the app, please don't hesitate to email us at support@packify.app
