We have 3 warehouses: one in USA, one in Canada, and one in HK to fulfil all non-north-american orders. We have about 50 SKUs in our US warehouse, but only 20 in the others. Ideal functionality would be show customers only the relevant products for their country (and they can toggle if they want, like how a currency toggle would work, dropdown with their country auto-selected based on IP).
Basically what I'm looking for is similar to multi-currency, but I'm also looking for multi-inventory, i.e. only show the products that are available to each user in their country. I really don't want to have to manage 3 cloned shopify stores.
Any ideas or trickery to make this work? Thanks
Nothing yet, I found this app which might work: https://apps.shopify.com/advanced-geo-functions. Their support told me you can show/hide items depending on visitors' location. And then you could create a dropdown allowing users to switch default countries. I think it would work, I'm just afraid of getting to hacky with it.
