Interested in other experiences with Shopify Expert response times.

I contacted two experts for trouble shooting and a few days ago and neither have replied.

I was advised that this is a more reliable forum than UpWork which is where I had looked for Shopify support previously.

Has anyone else found that this to be the case?

Hi Sara,

It seems this could be solved only if Full Access is granted to the collaborator account. Are you okay with bumping these permissions here?

Good morning,

Thanks again for your reply on the forum. I had contacted 2 x Shopify experts that came up on the list on the site but neither replied. I have previously tried UpWork and had a mixed experience so was advised to use a Shopify expert instead!

I need support troubleshooting Newsletter Subscription & Klaviyo set-up.

I have a newsletter sign up in the footer and a sign up pop-up on the home page I need to integrate with Klaviyo and trigger a welcome email.

I thought I had followed all the steps to set it up but it it not working correctly.

I have attached a brief with screenshots of the current flow so you can see what I need and let me know if what I am looking for is possible and you can help. If not possible what are the best options that get me close to the brief.

BRIEF IS:
To troubleshoot the set up of 2 x newsletter sign-up mechanisms on my Shopify store

1/ Newsletter pop-up from the sign-up bar on the home page

2/ Footer newsletter sign up

I am aiming for the same user journey regardless of whether the user signs up in the sign- up pop-up om the home page or in the footer.

Both sign up mechanisms need to
Add the subscriber to the Shopify customer email subscription list
Add the subscriber to the Klaviyo subscription list
Trigger the Klaviyo welcome email with 20% discount code

Please note: I am very keen to understand where I have gone wrong with the set-up so I know for future. Proactive communication is very important J



1/ Newsletter sign-up pop-up bar on home page

The newsletter sign-up pop-up bar from within District themes does add the subscriber to the Shopify customer subscription list but does not add to the Klaviyo list created or trigger the Klaviyo welcome email with discount.

Need to:

Troubleshoot what step I have missed with the integration & set up
AND explain to me so I can learn and understand for the futureJ
Trigger Klaviyo welcome email



2/ Footer Newsletter

The newsletter sign-up in the footer does not add the subscriber to the Shopify customer subscription list and does not trigger the Klaviyo welcome email with discount.

Looks like currently it triggers a subscription confirmation workflow with Kmail.Lists which I was not aware was set up.

Need to:

Add to Shopify customer subscription list
Trigger Klaviyo welcome email
Show me where to update message after submitting & font & size



Klaviyo set-up

I have done the following (I think/hope)

Integrated with Shopify site
Created the Welcome Newsletter template
Created Subscription list
Created workflow
Made Workflow live

Need to:

Troubleshoot why Shopify is not add the subscribers to the Klaviyo list
Troubleshoot with the Welcome newsletter is not triggering

While trying to access the Klaviyo app we are getting the following error which requires the Store Owner to open the App and follow the steps as needed:

Hi there

When I click on the App and open it via Shopify it shows it is enabled and integrated and there aren’t any steps to follow.

I can see the Flow I have created, the 'Newsletter Subscription - Welcome email' template and the 'Newsletter Subscription’ list

I am not able to see what steps I need to follow sorry.

Do you think the issue with the error you got may be because another developer I had 'helping' installed Klaviyo and is the Admin?

Would that explain why I can access but you can't?
