Subscription Payment from Debit card (India)

I am trying to pay with my Visa Debit Card for the Basic Shopify Subscription Plan payment, but it tells me unable to verify card.

Hi @alistairheus,

Thanks for getting in touch! Hybrid debit/credit cards are supported methods of payment, however they must be a VISA, Mastercard, or AMEX. It sounds like this is what you are working with, yes? 

To clarify, are you seeing this "Unable to verify card" message when you add your method of payment or when you try to pay your bill? Have you successfully added your method of payment to Settings > Billing > Payment methods? If not, give that a try now and let me know if you receive a similar error.

My trial period is over the only screen I can see is choose your plan which
leads me to unable to verify your card. My card is Visa Debit

That's my mistake, I read your original message to say you had a debit/credit VISA. At this time, it is not possible to use debit cards to pay for Shopify, which is why you're running into issues completing your purchase. You will want to choose one of these supported methods of payment to select your plan. So sorry for the confusion!

india is debit card society. shopify india should modify according to that country need.

what works in US does not work in India. Learn from Amazon.

Make debit card payment option in shopify subscription. for India. 

I betu by doing this you will have 10X more subscribers.
