Tracking Customer Sales for Later Discount

I’m not sure where this post goes, so my apologies if I’ve put it in the wrong place.  

I do a customer appreciation promotion every November.  This year, I’m giving them “Bling Bucks”..$1 for everyone $25 spent in November.   They’ll be able to use these in December. 

What is the best way to do this?  Can it be automated, or will I just create custom discount codes for these people to use in December?

Any thoughts would be appreciated  

I just recently migrated from Square where almost everything was invoice based and I would do this kind of thing manually.
