Update collection's availability to a sales channel doesn't affect its products' availability

By creating products by Shopify API, it looks like all products are unavailable to all sales channel by default.

 

Looks like if we create a collection and try setting the collection available to a sales channel it doesn't take effect:

- Collection is available to the sales channel

- All its products are still unavailable to the sales channel

 

How do we set all products of a collection available to a sales channel? What's the best practice? Thanks.

To further simplify my question: how do I bulk setting all products under a collection available to a sales channel if all individual products are set unavailable to all sales channel when created by API?

 

Any suggestion is much appreciated.
