Validation failed: Image

I am getting a full run of Validation failed: Image  results on my upload.
The URLs work and it appears to pick out a few and then fails with the rest of the batch.
It is as if my server that is hosting the images is throwing shopify out.
I have checked and no ISPs appear to be blocked on my server.
Any ideas?

Hi, @LocoShop !

Thanks for reaching out about this. I'd be happy to help you troubleshoot this further. Is there more to the error message you're receiving? Typically it will say "Validation failed: Image" and there'll be a bit more that can give us an indication as to what's actually causing the issue here. You can also use this document as a point of reference for CSV parameters.

Hope to hear from you soon so we can continue to dig into this together!

Thanks for the context. Shopify can download images from only direct image URLs. For example, Dropbox or Google Drive links to the image will not be downloadable. I wouldn't be able to say how long it’s going to take to get an image from a non-Shopify website to work. With that being said, for these three images, you could upload the image into the Files section of your admin and use the URL beginning with "https://cdn.shopify.com" in your CSV file.

For me what worked to solve this issue was importing the product again with the replace existing product option. Although the product was not showing in the interface it was as though a product already existed with the handle. The image urls were Shopify image URLS, I think they just got hung up the first time.
