If only Facebook Ads were that easy. Facebook Ads are helpful in conversions. There are lots of success stories. But eventually, without proper targeting, it’s almost impossible to see any results.
By targeting, I mean Campaign objective + audience + creative and copy + landing page.
You said that you’re running ads for page likes and engagement. I don’t think that’s the one you should go with. With these ads, your page likes will definitely increase. But these likes are useless, if your Facebook posts don’t even make it to those peoples’ feed. The average reach of Facebook posts is 2%. Which means that if you have 100 likes, 2 people will see your post.
Run your ads with awareness or traffic as an objective. I think, currently you’re advertising to your own audience? These people have little context about you. Start with an awareness ad and then move to traffic or conversion ad.
If you want to continue with a self-created audience, I’d suggest you look at Facebook Audience Insights. Enter the interest that you’re targeting and then look at page like, purchase and demographics suggestion. Build your audience based on these insights. It’s much better than working on a hunch.
Although, I truly feel that rather than creating your audience from scratch, it’s better to advertise to custom audience. I see that you’re capturing leads from the coupon pop-up. You can upload this list and ask Facebook to build a look-alike audience based on this list. These are targeted people. They know you! Ads to these people have better chance of converting.
Next is retargeting to people who’ve visited your website. I can see a Facebook pixel on your website. You can segment this custom audience in different ways:
But do remember if you’re retargeting or even using the uploaded custom list, you will have to focus on organic traffic to your website. Social media continues to stay one of the best sources of referral traffic. There are so many channels out there that it’s almost impossible to be actively present on all channels. You need to pick a channel which is suitable for your products and then be devoted to that channel. Don’t spread yourself too thin.
For your products, I feel Pinterest and Instagram are your best bet.
You have an Instagram icon your website, but that link is broken. You should fix that. To grow your following on Instagram, you need visually appealing content and right hashtags. Without these two, it’s difficult to grow.
