Where do my newsletter subscriptions go??

I am using the Showcase theme for my Shopify theme which comes with a Newsletter signup option. When I type my email into the form field, it acknowledges that I have been signed up but I have no idea where that email is being recorded. Does anyone know what the default would be. Secondly, where in the newsletter-signup.liquid code would I change this?

Hi!

When someone signs up for your newsletter, their email address is added to the "accepts marketing" customer list. This can be seen in the Customers section on the left side of your Shopify admin.

Depending what theme you have, setting up the Newsletter Signup to go to a mailing service may be different. More can be read about this right here.

You can add a mail service that customer's emails get added to on line 43 of your newsletter-signup.liquid

You may need your theme developers to advise what exactly needs to go here. You can reach them right here.

Hi Matt.

What could be the reason, that the Subscribers are not shown in my backend?
I've got the Responsive Theme and was trying to test, if customers who fill in the Newsletter Form in the Footer, are displayed in the "accepts marketing" Section of my customers.

My Shop isn't online yet - can that be the problem? Or in other words: does it work when I'm going online with my shop?

You can find the newsletter subscribers in the customers section in the store . Precisely , In Customers page , email subscribers tab.

I'm having the same issue and they are not appearing anywhere in the 'customers' section.

I am using envy theme and having this same issue, 2 months ago I did not have this issue and now I am, the email subscriber does not create an account in the back end.

I am using Envy theme as well and having the same issue. I am trying to subscribe with different email addresses but no luck.

So, why do I have 2 different results in the Customers section? I SWEAR, here are the screenshots. They should be showing the same list, whereas one shows no names, the other shows the two test names we added.

1) I opened the page with no names by clicking on the "customer list" hyperlink in the editor, after selecting the subscription form.

2) I opened the page where names are shown, by simply clicking on "Customers" at the left of my admin panel. But you see, in both cases, that "Customers" is highlighted.

You understand how this is VERY, VERY important and also VERY, VERY confusing, right? Now, are there any other places where new names might be being placed? Why does this happen, and how can I make sure that the page I am looking is the correct one?

Besides, I had to post a reply here after for some reason the blue "New message" button disappeared from the Forum, so I can't post. And my other problem, which is the subscription form not working, is going to hell because this is not the right place to post it.

Why do you hate us, Shopify? What did we do to you, besides paying your salaries and helping your stocks grow? (Well, not me personally, I joined recently.)
