I am preparing to relaunch my online gift shop with Shopify. It is called Peach Perfect at the moment (www.peachperfect.co.uk) but I am thinking of renaming to Peach Perfect Presents. I hope this will give people a better instant idea of what the shop is about and also give Google more to hang on to.
I have bought two URLs (well 6 really - .com, .co.uk and .uk) - peachperfectpresents and pppresents. The dilemma is which to use? Peachperfecpresents is rather long but will people remember pppresents as being the site name fo Peach Perfect Presnts? Is there a way of using both with a redirect or will that cause people (and Google) more confusion?
Just my two cents, but I think peachperfect.co.uk is the best URL of the three. Peachperfectpresents is a little long, and pppresents is harder to remember. Whichever domain you choose, you can usually set up domain forwarding wherever you registered your domain name. For example, Godaddy's instructions are here https://www.godaddy.com/help/forward-a-domain-12123 . You want to make sure it's using a 301 or 302 redirect, which should prevent any Google confusion.
