Why is my store not generating sales

Hi guys,

Here is my store www.thedealingsocks.com

I have spent many hard long hours during the UK's lockdown generating a new store. I have gone back to my full time job therefore am spending 5 hours a night working on my store as well. I haven't generated any sales and cant understand why. I am advertising using Facebook ads and have spent a fair few pounds so far. I have had 389 visitors to my store and no sales. What would you do at this stage? What are your thoughts on my store what can i improve or should I give up?

Congratulations on your store page! I hope you're safe and well in these difficult times. 

I can understand that it can be pretty frustrating to have no sales. So I have a couple of inputs on your store page - hopefully it'll be able to add some value.

Your store's quite well done. I like the minimal theme that you have selected because it keeps the focus on the products themselves. Most things on the store have been done right. I saw a couple of things that could be made better though, so I thought I'd share them with you. 

  1. On your homepage, make the top navigation bar fixed - even if the person scrolls down they should be able to navigate to the rest of the pages without having to go to the top. 
  2. You could think of adding an About Us page and add it to the footer section. This helps adding a personal touch to your store.
  3. I think we could use a wishlist or an Add to Favourites button. This will allow you to send more targeted follow up emails to your shoppers and even notify them if you're running any offers or sales. 
  4. Your homepage talks about how your products have a premium quality but on your product page I don't see a lot of info that would help me be assured of this quality. You could add some reviews/testimonials (as and when you start getting some shoppers) or a description/labels that show the quality - 100% cotton, custom designed or something like that.
  5. You could add some kind of urgency by adding stickers or labels to highlight things like sale/trending/free shipping. The Shopify app store is source of some really good apps that can add this kind of a focus to your store. I added one below which I thought might look good. What do you think? You can always look up more styles here.
