I am also having the same issue, 5 times yesterday I tried to connect (I have been in the process of setting it up) and it disconnects minutes later

Hello, same issue here.
My Facebook disconnects within seconds. The issue has been here since I opened the shop in November 2019. I’ve tried to talk to Shopify support twice with no resolution. I’ve even gone so far as to try and connect a second Facebook but no luck

Having the exact same issue, and it's driving me a little nuts.
I'm seeing a whole lot of not publishing steps to fix this, so Shopify, if you could reach out that'd be great.
