Organizing your products in Shopify is not a requirement to be able to use the Google Shopping channel. I'd recommend going over our Google Shopping Requirements Guide to get a better understanding of what you'll need in order to have a successful setup.

i have another annoying situation with google shopping.   hope you have a quick answer for me. 

i imported all my ebay products into shopify including description and photos.  now i am concerned google thinks the photos are 'borrowed' without permission from another site.  the other sight is my ebay site.  i have all the original pix and own them all.   do i need a waiver from google to use my own pix as originally hosted?

No, simply use the images you have and that you want to use. There is no low quality content based on only the image.

You may want to consider having a slightly different description.
