how to add applepay with braintree

Hi team

From this link, https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/payments/accelerated-checkouts/apple-pay?utm_campaign=Guru+Ask&ut... , I can see that Shopify can support ApplePay for Braintree. However, in my payment settings, the ApplePay option (for Braintree) is greyed out. Any reason for this? 

In addition, may I know if Shopify is integrated to Braintree using their javascript or ios sdk?

The reason for this question is because, on Braintree website, there are different steps required to enable ApplePay (whether or not to generate ApplePay Payment processing certificate with Apple) depending on the way it is integrated.

A few things to check: 

• You'll need to ensure that you have an SSL certificate applied to your domain 
• Ensure customer accounts are NOT required (optional or not required is fine) to be able to see the Apple Pay buttons on the cart or checkout pages.
  

If you meet the criteria for both points, then it may be a tokenization issue which is something Shopify Support will need to check. 

In terms of how Braintree is integrated, I would recommend reaching out to Braintree directly as they developed and maintain the integration and would know more on whether they used SDK or Javascript.
