i want to unlink my domain from a store that i can't access?

Hello guru, 

 

i bought a domain name and linked it with a shopify store, now i don't have access to that store any more, i tried to delete the host record on my namecheap dashboard, and tried to link the domain to a new store, unfortunately i still get this message: 

There is 1 error:
A store with that domain name already exists

what can i do to resolve this.

I register a shopify store a week ago. Customized the theme,set up payment & shipping, pick a lot products to sell (this takes a lot hours of work) and I'm impressed & decided to go Basic Plan $29. After I've paid then this message showing

"xxxxxxxxxx.myshopify.com is currently unavailable."

Cal here from Shopify, thanks for reaching out to us. I'd be happy to look into this with you. If you provide me with the domain URL in question I can email the account owner that is on file for the store associated with that domain, and look to get it removed from the store.

I've emailed the account owner for the store, as soon as the request is confirmed via email I'll remove any domains on the old store.

Hey Cal! I also have the same issue with my domain blokesanddames.com I have no access to the Shopify store linked to it. What do I do to unlink it, please?

If you want to share the MyShopify URL of your store with me here, I can email the account owner with more information. 

When I email, the account owner for your store will need to provide me with a screenshot of the domain host dashboard displaying both the email address and the domain verifying ownership, similar to this:

Hei @Cal! Thanks for your response. The domain I would like you to help me unlink is sizworth.com and the Shopify URL is sizeworth.myshopify.com. Please when should I expect the email, and am I to provide you with the screenshot of my domain host dashboard here?
