was reading through the apis docs I liked the channels programs. but currently I see some limitations with checkout and billing apis. maybe I missed some parts of the docs as Im new to shopify apis.
It does not seem that you can apply commission per product sell through current apis (I saw charges but will occur on monthly basis AFAIK). you have to go through orders apis using the channel program in order to be able to customize the final product price. was also looking here
and I have 2 questions:
I see in the above page that "Shopify isn't currently granting access to Orders API for sales channels" but here
https://shopify.dev/concepts/channels there is "Build a sales channel with the Orders API" and "Build a sales channel with the Orders API" so seems there is some contradicting if we are not allowed to access order api for sales channel then why its listed as a type in channels type page above (like why its documented if no one can use and access it. unless I am missing the point )?
also seems in this picture https://shopify.dev/assets/api/sales-channel-tutorials/marketplace-get-paid.png
(which you can find in https://shopify.dev/tutorials/build-a-sales-channel-with-the-orders-api) the platform fee is 2%.
but in the example it's actually 20% = 10*.2 = 8.. which one is the right platform fee % (I guess 20% but example picture is wrong ? )
Thanks in advance
can someone plz help I found same topic here (https://community.shopify.com/c/Shopify-APIs-SDKs/How-to-collect-commission-for-sales-channel-app/td...) with no answers I hope I don't end up with no answers.
