Hi, @Naghuia

Image uploads to Shopify have restrictions in terms of both megapixels and file size (measured in megabytes). Megapixels are used to indicate how many millions of pixels make up an image. Megabytes are used to indicate how many millions of bytes of memory or disk space an image takes up.

Images uploaded to Shopify can't exceed either of the following limits:

  • 20 megapixels
  • 20 megabytes

If you are seeing the error that your images exceed 20mp then you will need to use an image resizing program to reduce the quality. You should be able to achieve this by using photo editing software on your device or by using Google to source a free photo image program. Once you have resized the image, you should be able to upload the images without any issues. Our help document here also provides further tips to keep in mind when uploading images to Shopify.
