currently I am billed on the 19th of each month with the pause and build plan and have $11 credit left from the pause and build.
I would like to switch to the basic plan on the 11th of November, one week before my pause and build plan would be re-newed.
My question is, will I receive any credit from the $9 which isn't fully being used before I'm already activating a basic plan?

I'm Miles from the Social Care team at Shopify. I'm excited to hear you're ready to switch over to the Basic Plan! I'm hoping that means you're ready to launch your store which will be such an exciting time for you.
If you switch over to a new plan mid-cycle, you'll automatically get a pro-rate credit for any unused portion of your current plan. For you, this would mean your $29 charge would be minus the $11 currently in credit, and approximately $2 from the remainder of your current plan. This would mean you'd be charged around the $16 mark when you make the switch to the new plan.
When you go ahead with the plan change, you'll be shown the charge before submitting your payment and you'll see a breakdown of the charges as well. It will show the total amount, minus any credits so you can be sure that you're being charged the right amount. Our "Manage Billing" guide has a great section talking about our billing credits work, so please check it out if you have any questions.
