Before I Start Putting Mega Hours In

I have lots of work to do in regards to keywords and SEO.  I started my site with no knowledge of the "finer" points so now it is time to start working on SEO, but I am confused to Title, Description, Alt Tags, SEO Title and SEO Description in creating products.  Should they all say the same thing?  I know the description needs more info..

Title, Description, and SEO Title and SEO Description are separate title and descriptions for your product in your store and search engines respectively. Generally SEO fields have low character limits before being truncated in search results. Alt Tags, should be a text description of the image and the visually impaired and screen readers among other things.
