Coupon Customization

Hello, Is there anyone that can help us with this? - We want to be able to apply discount codes to certain items based on their sku's, category, or whatever. Rather than the way it is now where I have to do it site-wide.

I'm currently researching if this is something that is feasible to create using the Shopify App infrastructure. If I find any more information, I'll certainly let you know.
