Custom Product Builder

Hello, 

I am trying to make a product builder very similar to this https://www.rootedfurniture.com/collections/dining-tables/products/xleg?view=customizer#base:1893602...

Does anyone know how they accomplished doing so? Bold product builder is what aI have tried but it has not come close to meeting our needs. i came across this as well but there seems to be pretty bad reviews https://apps.shopify.com/appclay-product-configurator#reviews
