Display product as variant in collections

I'm looking for a developer or someone who can help me code to show individual products as variants in collections. It would be for the Portland theme. A similar thread is found here — but no answers for this particular theme.

Can you tell me about your experience doing this for customers with the

current theme? Lastly, how long would this project take you and how much is
