Left-hand navigation with drop down feature

Hi,

My store: http://shop.goodwood.com/

I'm looking to make some changes to my Shopify store, mainly to the left hand navigation so it expands down rather than out (... I managed to create the pop-out nav myself, but I'm unable to make it drop down).

Is this possible and can anyone point me to a thread that might show me how to do this please?

I also would like to create links within all of my collections. For example, if a customer was in the hat section of my store, I would like to have a lists of links just under the collection description to similar collections such as the accessories section ect. Is this possible?

If anyone knows of a web desginer that could to this quickly for me I'd appreciate the tip?
