Linking photos to variants

Hey folks!

Job: I'm pretty efficient at building sites but I'm sure I'm gonna need help with this one. I'm looking for someone who can help me link product photos to selected variants. Once the template is set, I can duplicate the coding for the remaining products.
For instance: http://independenttradingco.myshopify.com/collections/mens1-afx/products/mens-zip-hooded-sweatshirt

When a customer selects an option from the color drop down list, the photo will change to that color option.  I'll will also have a color swatch that will display the all available colors...and when clicked, will change the image and option to that color.

I had to hire someone to build it.  I believe he's doing it in JavaScript.  He's a super good guy...let me check with him before I give you his info.
