Hi everyone,
We're looking for a Shopify Developer who can work full time office based in our Ortigas office in the Philippines. It is a day shift (6:30 AM - 3:30 PM) fixed weekends off. This will be for an Australian digital agency. We already have 2 Shopify devs in our Manila office, so you get the chance to collaborate with an awesome team!
Here are the requirements:
- Demonstrable expertise with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, with in-depth understanding of DOM.
- Experience with implementing/debugging 3rd party Shopify apps as well as creating custom solutions
if necessary. - Experience with Shopify’s theming system and Liquid templating.
- Experience with Shopify’s object/properties, AJAX API, and Metafields.
- Experience with CSS pre and post-processors–specifically SASS.
- Magento & Wordpress development experience.
- Experience implementing and working with analytics providers, such as Google Tag Manager, Google
eCommerce tracking, Google AdWords conversion tracking, Facebook Pixel, Google Search Console
etc. - Thorough testing and debugging skills with browser console and external tools.
- Must be able to code for custom development.
- Strong organization skills to manage multiple projects and internal requests, etc.
- Able to prioritize your own tasks and dependencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain new sites, pages, templates and features for internal and client needs. To do
this, you will need to understand requirements, translate requirements and mockups into fully
functioning websites using HTML/CSS/JS, and write and maintain consistent, clean, and readable code. - Take ownership of all front-end development and Shopify configurations for multiple storefronts.
- Migrate customers from other eCommerce platforms (such as Magento, WooCommerce, NETO,
BigCommerce, etc) across to the Shopify platform. - Take complete ownership of project including accurately estimating project timelines, committing to
deadlines, delivering to specification and ensuring clear and honest communication with the rest of the
team and management in Australia. - Provide insight and recommendations in order to increase performance & conversion, as well as
decreasing & continually optimising page load times.
