Planning for a new theme.

Hello

I need to budget for a custom theme. I am looking for something that speaks to my niche. I was planning on spending about $1500.00 however I don't know if that will get me what I want or if I need to budget more. I have stopped selling on ebay due to outrageous fees and the transition has been slow. This project will be a few months out from now. www thepamperedparrot com

Designers/Developer's rates can vary widely.

I can't speak for anyone else, but we aren't really interested in competing on price. You can find a designer who is cheaper than us (mostly by outsourcing the work overseas) and you can find designers who charge more (mostly not specifically focused on small-business clients).

If you are upfront about the fact that you are trying to get ballpark estimates for a future project (rather than a firm quote for a project you are ready to launch asap) designers will be willing to oblige you with pricing.
