Venture Theme - Add hover effect to product images

We would like to add a hover effect on our product images so that the second product image shows when you hover over the product.
We followed this Shopify guide: https://help.shopify.com/themes/customization/collections/add-hover-effect-to-product-images
But it only messed up the collection pages.
Guessing it has to do with Venture's default hover function (overlay button).

After searching the forum, we found that other Venture users had the exact same problem. However, nobody provided a solution to the problem.

Surely this would be an easy fix..
