An accounting glitch with xero when 100% discounting an item

I always offer a promo of a free lip balm when a custom buys 3 soaps. I go into Shopify POS and select the lip balm and then discount it 100%. What happens at the end of the day is that it won't send over or batch that sale and I have to go in manually and do it. Is there some way around this, or can this be fixed so it will won't require the manual entry?
