I am looking for the pace to edit receipts for the POS and there seems to be a link missing. From my search, I see that I am supposed to go to Shopify POS, the Store the receipts. However, when I click on Shopify POS in the store backend, I get a setup page. There is no store link. The POS was added to the store by someone other than myself, and I have never done this before. Have we skipped a step somewhere?

Great question. There wouldn't be a step to have been skipped in this situation necessarily. Shopify has a help document about editing POS receipts which you can see here. There are two things I think which might be preventing you from being able to edit the POS receipts.
If you meet the criteria above, you can edit the receipts store>settings otherwise on the app.
