On the Live Stream discussing driving more traffic, he mentioned that we now have the ability to list our products on the Shopping tab of Google Search for no cost, how? Please explain.

I found it. You have to add the Google Shopping App in the Shopify App Store.  It will integrate your products for you!

Could you check back later and let everyone know how it went , or did it already finish for you with no hicupps?

Could you private message me a link to your store and  search url of your products so I could have that example?

I have it added but it's stuck at adding a target market.  I selected 'United States' and 'English' but it won't accept the target market settings.

Currently, Google Shopping is integrating my products. On the Shopify Admin Home Screen it alerts me of products with errors that I can correct.  See image below.  I have also attached images from my App Screen and Channels from my Home Page that now show that Google Shopping is a channel. Here is my store's url:  www.organikbeauty.us.  Thanks.

I have been correcting errors for months and keep get getting the same error message on half my product line. The barcode error. I've both changed and updated and still nothing. Weird the ones that are approved, I followed the same format for the others.

This is called surfaces across Google enhanced listings.

You can check if your products are approved by going to Google Merchant Center and on the dashboard you should see Surfaces Across Google diagnostics graph.

If it says partially active, this means you have the basic listing on search, images, etc.. but not the shopping tab. Shopping tab is enhanced listings so make sure it does not say its partially active.

If it is, then you must follow the requirements here: https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/9199328/#enhanced_listings_attributes

IE:

  • description (required for all products)
  • availability (required for all products)
  • condition (required for each used or refurbished product)
  • brand (required for each product with a clearly associated brand or manufacturer)
  • gtin (required for all products with a GTIN assigned by the manufacturer)
  • mpn (required for all products without a manufacturer-assigned GTIN)
  • multipack (required if your product is a multipack)
  • is_bundle (required if your product is a bundle)
  • color (required for Apparel & Accessories)
  • size (required for Apparel & Accessories)
  • age_group (required for Apparel & Accessories)
  • gender (required for Apparel & Accessories)
  • item_group_id (required for product variants)
  • shipping (required when you need to override your shipping settings in Merchant Center)
  • tax (required in the US when you need to override your account tax settings in Merchant Center)
