Saw Ping on the feed and went to look at it; been a Chatra user since they started beta testing. Ping sounds nice but the reviews are consistently abysmal. Are there any happy Ping users out there??
We use Ping - we don't have a huge amount of chats going on, but for what it is worth I find it quite useful.
Pretty basic, but does the job; sending customers to the specific product page, general questions etc.
Wouldn't mind being able to modify it a bit; it's either the little bubble or some intrusive banner.
Probably doesn't deserve an abysmal rating imho - probably just an average. Maybe a 4.5/10 ;-)
Can you set your schedule yet, or automated responses? I like the idea of Ping since it pulls together a bunch of Shopify services but it also seems to be not nearly as fleshed out as other vendors.
By schedule, I assume you mean your availability time... that's no problems.
You can set automated responses as well - though we don't use it that much.. or visitors don't should I say. If they do I just find it easier to get in and out with a quick chat, share products or place it on the checkout for them to make it easy. If you've got relatively basic needs then it is definitely worth it - always nice to keep the app costs down ;-)
But I'd imagine if you are running a larger operation with quite a lot of customer service, or there needs to be some kind of collaboration across the customer service, it would probably come up a bit short.
