We can likely add in this feature to our application so that you can use the camera or NFC sensor to scan and add a customer. Is this still something that people are interested in? Would love to hear what is needed and how we can help to support you.
Am surprised that this is not in shopify,, as this is a basic function in most pos. Now a days, it should even come as an app for the customer. - you scan the bar/QR code from his/her phone - from the app they should be able to see their previous purchase or what they have draft and hasn't completed yet - maybe even integrate a self pos into it, the customer already scan his/her products when taking them from the shop, once he/she is at the counter, the staff scan his card from the phone and it pull out that he has scan and check if it match the physical quantity and take the payment
I would love to issue physical plastic cards to our wine club members. It's becoming increasingly difficult to personally identify each one with the growing club. Plus, with the option to sign up online, we often don't meet these members until our first event. Having a way for us to look up their name membership status with a barcode or qr code would be a huge benefit.
